In this tutorial, we’ll add icons to our level, which will be visible in the in-game level menu and Steam Workshop menu.

To change the Preview Image (visible in Steam Workshop) and Ingame Icon (visible in the game’s level menu), we’ll need to navigate to the LevelSettings options (located at the top of the Hierarchy window).
The Preview Image and Ingame Icon can be different or similar to one another, depending on how you wish your level to appear in each context.
The image slots already carry some placeholder icons. You can upload your level to Steam Workshop even when it’s still using these images, but it’s recommended that you’ll create your own in your favorite image editing software to make your level really stand out.

512x512 resolution and .png format is recommended for both the Preview Image and the Ingame Icon!

This is an example of what the icons might end up looking like:
Here’s a quick preview of what’s to come over in Steam Workshop. After you’ve uploaded your level (more about how to do that on the Uploading to Steam Workshop page), the square Preview Image will be shown to other users in Steam Workshop as illustrated below. If your image is not square, Steam will add black bars to it to fill up the square area.
Now that we have added icons to our level, let’s upload the level to Steam Workshop!
